Dover, NH: Peter J. Dixon, 63, died on October 25, 2023. Originally from Pennsylvania and a graduate of Marple Newtown High School, Pete received a full U.S. Air Force ROTC scholarship to Lehigh University, where he earned a degree in civil engineering, and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Society. His service in the Air Force brought him to New Hampshire, where he was stationed at Pease Air Force Base. After completing his service, he taught himself to work with computers and had a long career in IT, retiring from Amadeus Hospitality in 2021.
Pete was an active member at Eliot Baptist Church, the treasurer for the food pantry and community outreach organization House of Hope, and an avid painter. He was a man of deep faith and generosity who supported and volunteered with a number of ministries in his community and around the globe.
Pete is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sally (Chamberlain) Dixon; his daughter, Christine Dixon and husband John Mirisola; his stepchildren Ruth Bondi, Nate J. Bondi and wife Christina, and Michael Bondi and wife Denise; his father, Joseph Dixon and wife Daisy Grajewski; his sisters, Elaine Stroup and husband J.D., and Joanne Dixon-Shavney; seven grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends. He is predeceased by his mother, Theresa (Roberti) Dixon.
